This is quite silly but then I am quite silly at times, no apologies for
that, It's part of who I am, and since this write up is all about me,
then I guess I do have the RIGHT to say what I want, don't I?...
OK, here
we go...I am black and proudly African, humble, playful, quite blunt,
as real as it gets, laugh a lot, quite simple REALLY, not in the least
bit pretentious, love singing and dancing, watching a little TV, reading loads of
books, cooking, like to draw, and paint too.
I have the makings of
greatness in me, yeah I said it, and I'll say it again if I have
to....LOL....we all do actually, you've just got to figure it out, the
tricky part is MAKING IT WORK, so, where was I?...
...Ah yes, I've been
trying to write....something(hopefully)....anything...but most
importantly...something that makes sense, something that, when I read it
much later I wouldn't wonder if I was insane while writing it....I had
the urge to write a great piece when I started but now?....hmmm....well,
not exactly...so...All About Me?...I am the kind of person you see at
first glance and you wonder...what's going through her mind, because I've
been told a million and one times that I always have an inexplicable
expression on my face, well, I don't know how true that is, as I can't see my face when I'm out on the streets (I wish I could), I
almost don't believe it but then too many people tell you the same thing
and you start believing even if only a little. So, back to me, don't
get me wrong, I am not narcissistic or anything I'm just trying to find
out how much about me I really know. Am I fashion inclined? I'd say...a
little bit, though for me fashion has to go with comfort, I usually say
'if it isn't comfortable then why bother?' Limping about in hurting shoes
aint the least bit appealing to me, no way.
I did say I love to
cook didn't I?, well, I'm a really fabulous cook (certified from various
people who have tasted my cuisine...hehehe). I can make a mean steak,
as they say.
I've always read books, started that at a very tender
age, and I've read basically everything I ever set my eyes on, but after
having read some books that could be said to be scarring especially to
the mind (cos we tend to remember more what we'd rather not), I decided
to be more picky about what I read, so I ended up with the following
genres: Inspirational, Adventure, Detective series, Espionage, Sci-Fi,
Horror and Poetry, Yes I've always had a soft spot for poetry.
I've
always had a passion for doing what is right, so much so that it has put
me in trouble a couple of times (I won't say what happened because I can
already see your ears twitching so much, with a burning desire to know
what I'm talking about...lol), especially in a society as ours, where
corruption is the order of the day, but hey, what can I say, we always
have to live for what we believe in, right? perhaps not so for everyone
but that's what I do, I stand for what I believe in, otherwise, what's
the essence of believing?
I can be such a child at times....SSSHHH...big
secret...I didn't really grow up....I come from Never Never land...(I
wish)....I like to play like a child...you know run around, take a
swing, have fun...without a care in the world...AH...sounds like such a
lovely moment...(I'm almost lost in the revelry of my
imagination)...yeah, am so imaginative...always dreaming up some sort of
fantasy world....with little fairies and pixies, and goblins...(no
thanks to all the early influence from Enid Blyton's adventure books)
but really, what is life without imagination?
OK, enough of all the
good parts, now lets face that part most people fear to reveal, I can be
extremely tolerant of people around me, usually I'm quite friendly and
likeable BUT since I am, like every other person, just human, I also
have the flip side, my 'don't-you-dare' side, hmmm....you don't wanna meet
me when I'm in that mood, I could drive nails into a wall with my
fist...lol....but that side comes only once in a very rare purple full
moon, werewolf things right?..lol
I'm a kick-off-your-shoes-and-relax
kinda person, literally speaking, not to say that I don't believe in
hard work, NO, actually I could be described as the epitome of hard
work, I usually get done whatever I put my mind to, I just mean I hardly
ever sit in a chair with my feet on the ground, nah, I always fold both
legs up on the chair...whether at home, work, even in an exam hall, I
almost got sent out of an examination hall once for not sitting
properly, cos I kept raising my legs up without even realizing, I guess I
could call it a habit now, ha ha...It's really comfy, you should try
it.
Did I forget Music? Music is my life. I love Music, listening to it, and singing too, especially RnB's, my favourite genre, ah... the 90's truly rocked. Play me any Brandy song, and you've made my day.
